Chair: Mira Vinod

My name is Mira Vinod, and I am a junior at KLS. This is my 6th year at KLS, and I have been a part of leadership every year. Year by year, I become more passionate about Leadership, and this club is one of my favorite parts of KLS, and it is central to the KLS community. I cannot promise a lot of things, but I truly believe that if I am elected as chair, I will dedicate my time and energy to the role while keeping students' best interests in mind :) In my free time, I enjoy watching shows and movies (specifically rom-coms), like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Friends, Gossip Girl, and Gilmore Girls.

Being on the leadership team for over 5 years has taught me how to effectively communicate, plan, and fundraise. Through my roles of being the Outreach Lead, the founder, and lead of Mock Trial, I have gained valuable experience in project management and planning as well as how to work with different people, learning how to collaborate with admin and teachers. Additionally, as the Events Manager on the Student Council, I have put so much time, effort, and passion into every event for the KLS community and hope to do this again as Chair <3

If elected, I want to motivate students by creating a leadership handbook—a step-by-step resource to help them advocate for themselves and bring their ideas to life. Ensuring that every student’s voice is heard by giving them a safe space by letting them know they can always talk to me, implementing and supporting their ideas, wonderful ideas :) I also want to enhance communication and collaboration between teachers and students (both high school and middle school) by organizing more team-building activities. Additionally, I’ll continue developing the weekly newsletter to spotlight the amazing work done by student leaders in our community.
